Terminal Puerto Rosario (TPR) received the MV AAL Hamburg vessel to handle the unloading of 12 barges that arrived aboard the geared heavy lift ship. The vessels, arriving from Brazil, are Jumbo type and belong to the LHG Mining company's fleet.
TPR highlighted that "with great enthusiasm, we announce the mooring at our terminal of the MV AAL Hamburg, a Geared Heavy Lift vessel that arrived transporting 12 Jumbo-type barges from the LHG Mining fleet, originating from Brazil."
"The safe positioning of this imposing vessel at our docks marks the official start of an unprecedented logistical deployment in Argentina," stated the port operator.
Furthermore, the company detailed that "the approach and mooring maneuvers required precise coordination between the crew, pilots, and our ground staff, demonstrating the capability of our infrastructure and our teams to handle large-scale operations."
The 32,000 DWT heavy-lift multipurpose vessel is enabled for dual fuel and has three cranes on the port side with a capacity of 350 tons each and a maximum lift of 700 tons, as well as a retractable deck system that increases the free stowage space on deck to more than 5,200 square meters.
