SAAM Towage Receives Gold Seal for Fifth Consecutive Year in Brazil for Emissions Management

SAAM Towage has achieved new recognition in Brazil by receiving, for the fifth consecutive year, the Gold Seal from the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program.

"This distinction reaffirms the highest rating awarded by the program to companies that publish a complete and verified emissions inventory," the company announced.

For her part, Renata Ervilha, SAAM Towage's Country Manager in Brazil, stated that "we are proud to receive the Gold Seal for the fifth consecutive year. This recognition confirms our constant commitment to sustainability and drives our actions to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions."

The audit and verification by an independent third party aim to lend credibility to the report and constitute a first step towards implementing measures to control carbon dioxide emissions.

"These actions are complemented by other environmental management initiatives aimed at mitigating the impact of our operations," SAAM Towage specified.

This recognition adds to other achievements obtained through continuous work both at sea and on land, such as ISO 14001 certification for environmental management, PAS 2060 certification for emissions neutrality, and the implementation of continuous improvement processes to reduce fuel consumption.
