The Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Adif) has tendered a contract for the lease of 3,030 square meters of space and facilities at the multimodal freight transport terminal of Arrúbal, in La Rioja. The contract, for a minimum amount of 216,529.28 euros, will have a duration of six years, extendable for an additional three years.
The tender for these spaces aims to boost railway freight traffic and the activity of this freight transport terminal, which has an approximate area of 42,535 square meters, distributed between the technical installation and the logistics zone. It has seven Iberian gauge tracks covering an area of 28,000 square meters.
The spaces subject to this tender are located within the logistics zone and include a plot of 2,100 square meters, and a dead-end track, electrified at its head, for loading and unloading operations, with an area of 930 square meters.
According to Adif, the sites will be designated for logistics activity and rail freight transport. Any other activity different from that indicated must be previously requested in writing by the awardee.
