Santander, August 4, 2026. Once the bidding period has ended, six companies will compete for the execution of the paving of the southern road of the ACTIMARSA industrial park.
The process now continues with the verification of the administrative documentation submitted by the bidders and the evaluation of the offers. Once this phase is concluded, the contract award proposal will be formulated.
The works, which have a tender budget of 826,300 euros and an execution period of three months, will serve to “increase traffic safety, restoring adequate rolling conditions in an infrastructure that is essential for the internal mobility of the industrial park and as the main access to the Marina del Cantábrico sports port”, as explained by the president of the APS, César Díaz.
“Over time, the pavement has experienced significant deterioration due to natural wear and tear and continuous use of the road", he assured. A process that has been “especially aggravated” by the frequent transit of heavy vehicles, characteristic of an industrial environment, and which “needs to be repaired” to ensure “the functionality of a key infrastructure for mobility and economic activity.”
The contract includes the milling of the existing pavement, the repair and regularization of areas with deficient bearing capacity, the laying of hot bituminous mixture pavement, the construction of speed reducers such as speed bumps and raised crosswalks, and the painting of road markings and placement of vertical signage.
Area of Action
The southern road of the Actimarsa industrial park is located in the municipality of Camargo, within the Port Authority's Service Zone, and includes a road 1,800 meters long and 12 meters wide which, together with the intersections with the transverse roads, covers an area of approximately 22,000 square meters.
