The Port of Malaga continues to boost its international connectivity with the incorporation of the Dragon service, by Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), which began operating in the Malaga facility at the beginning of July.
The main novelty of this service is that Malaga becomes the first European port of call for this line coming directly from the Far East, directly connecting the main production centers of China and Singapore with Southern Europe.
This represents a significant competitive advantage for the port and for companies in its area of influence, by reducing transit times and improving connectivity with some of the main international markets.
The new rotation of the Dragon service connects the ports of Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Singapore, Malaga, Genoa, La Spezia, Naples, Sines, Boston, New York, Baltimore, Norfolk, Savannah, and Freeport, configuring a maritime corridor that links Asia, the Mediterranean, and the East Coast of the United States.
