Exports grow month by month and have managed to maintain a favorable trend in recent years. But do you know which regions lead foreign shipments? In this note, we tell you.
The five most exporting regions of Peru in the first half of 2026 were Lima with shipments of 7,847 million dollars, followed by Arequipa with 5,662 million and Ica with 5,662 million.
Following them in the ranking of major exporters are Áncash with shipments of 4,798 million dollars and Puno closely with exports amounting to 4,784 million, according to information from the Association of Exporters (Adex).
Main destination markets
For their part, the main destination markets in the analysis period were China with shipments of 20,850 million dollars, which accounted for 38.6% of the total exported.
They were followed by India (10%), the United States (9.3%), the European Union (8.9%), Canada (5.2%), Switzerland (3.4%), and Japan (3.3%).
Number of exporting companies
Finally, it is worth noting that between January and June 2026, a total of 7,288 companies dispatched 3,537 products to 164 countries, according to Adex figures.
