The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation informs that Resolution No. 187/2026 distributed the expansion of the sugar quota granted by the United States government as an extraordinary allocation of the tariff quota for the 2026/2027 fiscal year, resulting from a reduction applied to Brazil.
The additional quota was distributed among the companies that applied for the annual quota through Resolution No. 173/2026, which consisted of 44,164 tons distributed among 21 companies.
