The National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA) provided an informative talk on trichinosis prevention at the Gral. Martin Miguel de Guemes Comprehensive Education Center in Salta, attended by over one hundred students from four agricultural technical schools in the Province.
Professionals from the Animal Health Coordination of SENASA's NOA North Regional Center presented the characteristics of the disease, forms of contagion, and what to do to prevent it to 3rd and 4th-year students from technical schools N.º 3150 and N.º 3112 in Cerrillos, N.º 3116 in El Carril, and N.º 3122 in the capital of Salta.

On this occasion, SENASA agents presented an infographic on the zoonosis; they explained the form of transmission to animals and people, the symptoms, and the disease prevention measures. They also highlighted the importance of acquiring meat and/or derivatives properly labeled in authorized establishments.
The students asked questions and actively participated in the presentation, accompanied by teachers who were also interested in the topic.

This informative talk was coordinated by the Training area of SENASA's NOA North Regional Center with the Provincial Education portfolio and the technical schools, in order to inform and prevent this zoonosis in the community.
