During the day, the students were received by a comprehensive team from the SENASA La Pampa - San Luis Regional Center, comprising representatives from key technical areas. They discussed aspects of the fieldwork carried out by the Organization, implementing various health plans and programs related to animal and plant health and consumer protection, both in primary production establishments and in manufacturing and transport facilities.

The student delegation also toured the facilities of the SENASA Regional Laboratory in General Pico, where they were informed about its equipment for evaluating and diagnosing different diseases and the various types of sample analyses performed to determine the presence or absence of animal diseases and plant pests. The university students were also told that the facility is focused on expanding new determination assays to become a reference in the area.
