The National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA) inspected the health of 1,138 animals that participated in the five events comprising the spring rural exhibition circuit in the province of Río Negro.
During the events, agents from the SENASA Patagonia Norte Regional Center verified compliance with sanitary, documentary, and animal welfare requirements for all species attending the livestock exhibitions, in accordance with resolutions 421/2025 and 1697/2019.
The circuit began on September 3rd with the 49th Livestock, Poultry, Commercial, and Industrial Exhibition of the Sociedad Rural de Río Colorado, where 67 birds and 141 bovines were inspected. This was followed by the 30th Rural Expo of the Comarca Viedma-Patagones along with the 13th National Patagonian Angus Exhibition held at the Sociedad Rural de Viedma grounds, where 81 birds, 226 bovines, 2 camelids, 1 equid, and 31 ovines were inspected.
Inspection activities continued at the 14th National Patagonian Hereford Exhibition and the 37th Spring Livestock, Commercial, and Industrial Exhibition held at the fairgrounds of the Sociedad Rural de General Conesa, where the entry of 45 birds and 223 bovines was overseen.
Meanwhile, at the 46th Rural Exhibition of Choele Choel, 126 bovines, 12 ovines, and 5 swine were inspected. Finally, during the 15th Livestock and Wintering Exhibition of Alto Valle held at the Sociedad Rural del Alto Valle grounds in Paso Córdoba, General Roca, 168 bovines and 10 ovines were checked.
In all cases, it was verified that they were supported by the Electronic Transit Document (DT-e), with negative certification for bovine brucellosis, health booklets, and other corresponding requirements, depending on the species. Furthermore, in line with resolutions N° 723/2025 and 806/2025, it was confirmed that all animal transport vehicles had valid sanitary authorization and the Unique Washing and Disinfection Certificate (CULyD).
Additionally, during their participation in these events, SENASA technicians and professionals responded to and advised producers regarding compliance with various sanitary regulations that strengthen livestock activity.
