The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation reports that, between July 2025 and June 2026, Argentina's wool exports grew 28% year-on-year in volume and 66% in value.

The main export destinations are China and the European Union, with the former leading in greasy wool trade and the latter in the combed wool market.
It is worth noting that in the 2024/2025 season, 31,088 tons were exported for a total of USD 114.3 million, while the 2025/2026 records amount to 39,730 tons for USD 189.6 million.
The increase recorded is substantially greater when compared to the result of the 2023/2024 season, with growth equivalent to 69% in volume and 101.4% in terms of foreign currency generated.
On the other hand, for the beginning of the new season, during the July - August 2026 period, wool exports experienced a year-on-year growth of 39% in volume, totaling 6,901 tons greasy basis, and 103% in value, for USD 37.4 million.
The wool export records for the first two months of the 2026/2027 season reflect a positive and sustained evolution of the sector, consolidating the recovery and strengthening of the Argentine wool chain in international markets, which has been observed in recent years.
