The activity, organized by the Language Coordination Division, under the Institution's Directorate of Education, brought together approximately 200 students and served to publicize the training and leveling proposals in English, Portuguese, and Italian offered by that area.
During the event, the importance of mastering other languages for the professional development of personnel was highlighted, especially given the possibilities of training, exchange, and performance of duties in international organizations and institutions. In this context, Prefecto Mayor Guido Aguirre emphasized that it is convenient for students to register and accredit their level of competence, an aspect that is considered when applying for courses, scholarships, and other professional development opportunities offered by international organizations and institutions.
The day featured in-person presentations by Prefecto Mayor Adrián Alejandro Vargas, Prefecto Mayor Arturo Daniel Viana, and Prefecto Carolina Fernanda Gamboa, who shared their professional and academic experiences abroad. Likewise, virtually and from abroad, the Liaison Officer in the Federative Republic of Brazil, Prefecto Mayor Ariel Andrés Colombo, who serves in the Directorate of Ports and Coasts of the neighboring country, presented.
Also participating in the activity were Prefecto Mayor Jorge Osvaldo Soto, who is in the Italian Republic and serves as Liaison Officer to the Guardia di Finanza, and Subprefecto Cecilia Elizabeth Núñez Ferri, who is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Maritime Affairs at the World Maritime University (WMU), based in Malmö, Kingdom of Sweden.
The activity highlighted the strategic value of foreign language training for the personnel of the Argentine Naval Prefecture, favoring their preparation to participate in training, cooperation, exchange, and institutional representation instances in the international sphere.
