The first operation took place in the aforementioned Corrientes locality when Fuerza personnel, conducting surveillance at strategic points, detected with a thermal camera a vessel crossing from the Paraguayan coast to the Argentine side, at kilometer 1,239 of the Paraná River, near the Huajó stream.
Upon reaching the shore, the crew threw several bundles and returned to Paraguay. Immediately, personnel from the national Maritime Authority went to the scene and observed several men transporting burlap-type bags on motorcycles. Upon noticing the police presence, they fled into a vegetated area, abandoning the cargo and one of the vehicles.

As a result of the inspection, 10 bundles containing 17 heat-sealed bags with 32 kilograms of marijuana buds and 84 bricks of pressed marijuana, totaling another 62 kilograms, were seized. In addition, a motorcycle was impounded. The drug had an estimated value of almost 360 million pesos.

On the other hand, the second procedure took place in the Misiones city of Candelaria, where Prefectura personnel detected a motor vessel with several crew members on board crossing the river. It arrived at the Argentine coast, at kilometer 1,604 of the Paraná River, and threw several bundles before returning to the neighboring country.
Given this situation, a search was carried out in the area, thanks to which seven abandoned bundles containing 82 kilograms of bulk marijuana flowers were located. The estimated value of the drug was over 316 million pesos.

Thus, the two procedures allowed the removal of almost 177 kilograms of marijuana from circulation, with a total value exceeding 675 million pesos.
The cases were placed under the jurisdiction of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of Corrientes, Initial Attention Area, in charge of Dr. Melina Beatriz Perborell, and the Fiscal Unit of Posadas, in charge of Dr. Débora Fores.
