The objective of the meeting was to define a work plan and establish the necessary actions to implement the IMO's continuous monitoring mechanism, within the framework of the upcoming audit cycle.
The meeting was led by the Director of Navigation Security Police and Director of Environmental Protection, Prefect General José Fernando Dos Santos, who serves as the Republic of Argentina's Sole Point of Contact to the IMO for matters related to IMSAS.
During the day, the organizations coordinated actions and defined lines of work in accordance with their respective responsibilities and the international IMO instruments applicable to Argentina.
Additionally, representatives from the Argentine Navy, the National Meteorological Service, the Naval Hydrographic Service, the National Agency of Ports and Navigation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, the Transport Safety Board, and the Argentine Naval Prefecture, in its capacity as the National Maritime Authority, participated in the event.
