The Singapore-flagged oil tanker MTM Key West and a Paraguay-flagged tugboat Impala San Antonio collided in the Talavera Passage in Argentina's Vuelta Mala area on 18 September.

The incident occurred near kilometre 193 of the Talavera Passage while Impala San Antonio was sailing from Corrientes to Asunción, and MTM Key West was en route from San Lorenzo to Nueva Palmira, Uruguay, where it was scheduled to conduct cargo operations.
Following the collision, the oil tanker continued sailing and anchored at Nueva Palmira, and the Impala San Antonio berthed at Zárate.
There is not yet any immediate information available on damage to either vessel, injuries, or pollution after the incident.
