The Port of Concepción del Uruguay completed a shipment of non-genetically modified (Non-GMO) soybean meal destined for Denmark.
Marcos Di Giuseppe, President of the Autonomous Entity Port of Concepción del Uruguay, highlighted that "this is a new product incorporated into the cargo diversification plan outlined by the Provincial Government, and it is currently only being carried out from the Port of Concepción del Uruguay."
Despite the rains of the last week, the cargo was loaded onto the vessel Windermere, which docked at piers 14, 15, and 16 of the Uruguayan port, completing a total of 18,510 tons exported by the Argentine Cooperatives Association (ACA), Entre Ríos Crushing, a company based in the city of Gualeguaychú, and the Danish cooperative DLG Group.
"This is a product sown, industrialized, and exported entirely from Entre Ríos under international certifications (RTRS and GMP+) with high demands from the European market, which positions the Port of Concepción del Uruguay and the province of Entre Ríos as a supplier of differentiated foods, with high standards of quality, traceability, and sustainability," Di Giuseppe emphasized, referring to this new export carried out from Concepción del Uruguay.
This is the second operation carried out from this port, and another similar one is being planned for September.
"Concepción del Uruguay is currently the only export line for Non-GMO soy from Argentina to European markets under these quality regulations. We also added balanced feed destined for other American markets, while continuing with wood exports to India, and other products and markets are being explored to continue exporting from the ports of Entre Ríos, because this means concrete work for hundreds of people and greater benefits for the productive chains of Entre Ríos," the official added.
A new shipment of pine wood logs is scheduled for the beginning of September, while a new export of soybean meal would take place by the end of the same month.
