Cruises Inject BRL 4.76 Billion into Brazil's Economy, Creating 72,000 Jobs

A study by Fundação Getulio Vargas and Clia Brasil reveals that the cruise industry contributed BRL 4.76 billion to the Brazilian economy during the 2025/2026 season. Cabotage operations alone generated BRL 4.28 billion, supported 64,529 jobs, and contributed BRL 166.3 million in taxes. International cruise ships added BRL 480.94 million, with the sector as a whole sustaining approximately 72,000 jobs.
