Starnav Elektra: Brazil's First Hybrid Vessel with an All-Female Crew

The Starnav Elektra, built by Estaleiro Detroit in Itajaí (SC), is the first hybrid propulsion vessel manufactured in Brazil. Operated by Starnav for Petrobras under a 12-year contract, the vessel boasts an exclusively female crew, including Commander Isabela Teixeira Ponce de Leon. During its construction, 58 women participated in various stages, and the project achieved an estimated local content of 65% to 70%.
