Maersk introduces Peak Season Surcharge on East Mediterranean-US-Canada route

Maersk announced a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for all dry container types on the East Mediterranean to United States and Canada route, effective from 7-October-2026 until further notice. The surcharge amounts to USD 250 per container (20, 40/45HDRY, and 40 HREF) for origins in Bulgaria, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Lebanon, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine, and EUR 220 for Syria. Rates are calculated based on Price Calculation Date (PCD) for non-SPOT bookings and first vessel ETD for SPOT bookings.
