Maersk upgrades reefer fleet with next-generation IoT connectivity devices
Maersk has begun deploying next-generation IoT connectivity devices across its refrigerated container fleet, with approximately 30 percent of reefers already upgraded as of June 2026. The upgrade will standardize devices and deliver more consistent customer experience, while supporting 4G/5G connectivity with solar-powered energy harvesting and IMO compliance. The company aims to complete the roll-out across all reefers in the coming years.
