The continued volatility in global energy prices and fuel availability is placing significant pressure on logistics and intermodal transportation costs.
To maintain service continuity, safeguard cargo integrity, and secure sufficient transportation capacity across our network, A.P. Moller - Maersk will implement a temporary, cost-reflective fuel adjustment for Landside Transportation services in Costa Rica.
Effective 7th October 2026, based on the applicable price calculation date, an Intermodal Fuel Fee of 12% will apply to all import and export cargo transported by truck in Costa Rica.
The surcharge will be reflected separately on invoices as follows:
This adjustment will remain in effect until further notice. Given the ongoing volatility in the energy market, the surcharge may be reviewed and adjusted as market conditions evolve.
We understand the impact that transportation cost adjustments may have on your operations. Our team remains committed to providing reliable and consistent logistics solutions while supporting your business needs.
