Panama Enables Los Cedros Cemetery to Replace El Limón de Chagres

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) and the Panama Canal will enable the Los Cedros cemetery in La Encantada, Chagres district, Colón province, starting July 30, 2026, for new burials of families who used El Limón. The measure responds to Executive Decree 26 for the Río Indio lake project. The deadline for other cemeteries in the area is January 15, 2027.
