112 Years of the Panama Canal: Operations and Strategic Projects
The Panama Canal commemorates 112 years of operations, registering a total of 10,623 transits of deep-draft vessels between October 2025 and July 2026, representing a 6.12% increase compared to the previous period. The interoceanic waterway is advancing with its 2025-2035 Vision, which includes projects such as the Río Indio Lake and transshipment terminals in Corozal and Telfers, in addition to an Energy Corridor with a 76-kilometer gas pipeline.
