The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) reports that, in the list of internationally sanctioned vessels by the United Kingdom, within the framework of restrictions applied against Russia's so-called "shadow fleet," published on October 8, 2026, none of these vessels are currently registered in the Panama Ship Registry.
Given the information that may be disseminated by companies dedicated to vessel tracking and monitoring, whose records may show discrepancies in updating the registration status of vessels, the AMP, through the Panama Ship Registry, maintains permanent monitoring of its fleet and carries out the corresponding verifications.
In this regard, it is reported that the following vessels were canceled prior to the publication of the aforementioned list:
Furthermore, regarding the list also published on October 8, 2026, by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the United States Department of the Treasury, we report that three (3) Panamanian-flagged vessels are listed, which have been restricted in the AMP system, and their ex officio cancellation process has begun, in accordance with the provisions of Executive Decree No. 512 of October 28, 2024. The mentioned vessels are:
The AMP strongly condemns all illicit and criminal activities that threaten human life and international security. In this way, it reiterates its firm commitment to complying with international obligations and to adopting the necessary measures against those who pose a threat to regional stability, international peace and security, as well as to the prestige and integrity of the Panamanian Merchant Marine.
