AMP-flagged bulk carrier collides with fishing vessel in Singapore

The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) reports on the incident involving the bulk carrier M/N FIRST MARGAUX from its fleet and a fishing vessel, near Singaporean territorial waters.

Following a telephone communication with the Company Security Officer (CSO), it has been confirmed that the vessel sustained no structural damage as a result of the collision.

The other vessel involved suffered structural damage due to the impact; however, it managed to stay afloat and is sailing under its own power to the next port for necessary repairs.

It has been confirmed that both crews are in perfect health and safe.

The AMP will continue to monitor the development of this case in strict adherence to international navigation safety regulations.
