Atlas Ocean's Atlas Adventurer in Tank Testing Phase
Mystic Cruises' Atlas Adventurer is undergoing tank testing at MARIN in the Netherlands ahead of construction at China Merchants shipyard. According to CEO Mário Ferreira, the 400-passenger luxury sailing ship will generate 400 kWh at 12 knots and feature a 9-megawatt battery system for near-silent operation. Set to enter service in late 2028, the 26,000-ton vessel will be the first sailing ship in the company's fleet and the only upscale sailing ship with an ice-class rating.
