Mar del Plata Recovers 1,407 Meters of Operational Docks Through Ship Scrapping
The Mar del Plata Regional Port Consortium has recovered 1,407 linear meters of operational docks through its comprehensive plan for the removal and scrapping of inactive vessels. The latest milestone involved moving a 46-meter-long fishing vessel, abandoned for over 15 years, to the Mar del Plata Naval Base for its definitive dismantling. According to Marcos Gutiérrez, president of the Consortium, the recovery of operational space is fundamental to ensuring a safe and dynamic terminal.
