Crown Iris faces protest at Piraeus port over Israeli operations
The Israeli cruise ship Crown Iris arrived at Piraeus (Greece) on August 14th, triggering a demonstration by pro-Palestinian groups, trade unions, and political organisations led by the Greek Union of Sailors (PENEN). Protesters gathered in the port area displaying Palestinian flags while police maintained security. The vessel, operated by Mano Maritime, has encountered similar protests at Greek ports including Syros, Rhodes, Agios Nikolaos, and Volos since 2025.
