Fincantieri launches Oceania Sonata cruise ship at Marghera yard
Oceania Cruises and Fincantieri celebrated the launch of the Oceania Sonata at the Marghera shipyard on August 27, 2026, with delivery scheduled for 2027. The newbuild will accommodate 1,390 passengers and is the first unit of the new Sonata class, based on the acclaimed Allura class. The program includes four additional sister ships scheduled for delivery between 2029 and 2037, further strengthening the partnership between Fincantieri and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
