Hero of the Seas floats out at Meyer Turku shipyard
Royal Caribbean's Hero of the Seas, the fourth Icon Class cruise ship, reached a major construction milestone on September 4th, 2026, when it was floated out at Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland. The ~365-metre vessel will accommodate ~5,610 passengers at double occupancy, increasing to ~7,600 at maximum capacity. The ship is scheduled to enter service in August 2027 and operate year-round Caribbean cruises from Miami.
