Norway Provides Assistance to Russians After Arctic Ship Seizure
Norway's foreign ministry announced it will provide necessary assistance to Russian citizens stranded in the Arctic Svalbard islands following a Norwegian court's seizure of the Professor Molchanov cruise ship. The 71-meter vessel, which carries 32 crew and 52 passengers, was seized on behalf of Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz, which seeks to enforce a $4.22 billion compensation award related to assets taken during Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea.
