MSC Poesia Deploys Marine Observer for Alaska Whale Research with ORCA
MSC Cruises has partnered with marine conservation organization ORCA to deploy Marine Mammal Observer Maria Snell aboard MSC Poesia during its Alaska season. Snell will conduct research on responsible ship operations in whale-rich environments using specialized observation technology. Through September 2026, the Poesia will sail seven-night itineraries calling at Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Juneau in Alaska, and Victoria, British Columbia, with findings published in a scientific report for maritime and scientific communities.
