Russia Looks to Attract Cruise Ships in the Far East from Vladivostok
The South Korean cruise ship Eastern Venus docked in Vladivostok on June 4, marking the first cruise ship arrival since 2019. With 150 passengers aboard, officials from the Primorsky Krai Ministry of Tourism view it as a potential recovery catalyst for the region's passenger industry. The cruise line is exploring adding Vladivostok to its 2027 itineraries, while Russian authorities work to establish a new domestic cruise service.
