Port of Hirtshals Generates 10% of Employment in Hjørring, According to EY Analysis
An EY analysis reveals that the activities of the Port of Hirtshals and its surroundings generate 2,453 full-time equivalent jobs in Hjørring, representing almost 10% of the municipality's total employment. Nationally, the port generates 4,735 jobs in Denmark, USD 160 million in annual tax revenue, and USD 660 million in gross value added. The port is continuing with Phase 1 of the western breakwater expansion.
