The Ports of Barcelona and Singapore Share Innovative Initiatives within the Framework of the Smart Port Challenge 2026
The Ports of Barcelona and Singapore held a joint event on May 28, 2026, to share projects and initiatives through their innovation ecosystems. Ten start-ups from the Port of Barcelona presented solutions to the challenges of the Smart Port Challenge 2026, which covers green maritime technologies, next-generation ports, smart navigation, and digitalization. The delegation from the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) also learned about projects from PIER71 start-ups such as Nexus Ocean AI and OneCare Group.
