Contecon Authorized to Operate with 15.5 Meter Draft in Manzanillo
Contecon Manzanillo obtained authorization from the Regional Port Authority to receive vessels with drafts of up to 15.5 meters, becoming the only terminal in the port with this operational capacity. This measure allows it to handle Ultra Large Container Vessels (ULCVs) of up to 24,000 TEU. The terminal plans to incorporate two new Super Post Panamax cranes in September and aims to achieve an operational draft of 17 meters. In the first seven months of 2026, Contecon Manzanillo operated 1,022,182 TEU, a 20.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
