The operation began with prior information warning about a possible stash of narcotics, which led to the coordination of a land patrol in the area of the water barrier in the Porteño Norte neighborhood. This patrol located 10 bundles hidden among the vegetation, in an area surrounded by weeds near the border. Subsequently, it was confirmed that the packages contained marijuana.
The seized drugs weighed over 228 kilos, valued at more than 870 million pesos.
The Formosa Public Prosecutor's Office, led by Dr. Marisa Vázquez, is intervening in the case.
