CMA CGM Reports Q2 Revenue of $15.7 Billion Amid Middle East Disruptions
CMA CGM, the world's third-largest container carrier, reported second-quarter revenue of $15.7 billion, up 19.2% year-over-year, with EBITDA climbing 31% to $3.0 billion. The French shipping giant transported 6.33 million TEUs during the quarter, a 6% increase, while shipping revenue jumped 22% to $10.0 billion. Despite Middle East geopolitical disruptions increasing operating costs, higher freight rates and strong global trade demand offset headwinds. CMA CGM also completed the formation of United Ports LLC with Stonepeak, a joint venture holding nine major container terminals across five countries.
