The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation reports that after analyzing international foreign trade data for the close of 2025, recently published by COMETRADE (a United Nations international database), Argentine agro-industrial products improved their performance in world trade. The ranking was based on the country's main exported tariff positions.
The record exports achieved in 2025 demonstrated the improved global positioning of Argentine products.
Among the top 5 positions, 26 Argentine agro-industrial products lead global exports; while up to the 20th position, there are 52 products from all regions of the country.
Thus, Argentina became the world's leading exporter of sunflower products (ascending several positions), soybeans, yerba mate (moving from 2nd to 1st place), peanuts, essential oil, and lemon juice.
In third place are corn, sorghum, beans, garlic, dried plums, grape must, frozen hake, and soybeans.
Within the universe of products that occupy up to the 10th position, beef, wine, honey, pears, horse meat, greasy wool, peach preparations, orange juice, olive oil, wheat, chickpeas, tea, olives, raisins, alfalfa, and nuts, among others, can also be mentioned.
The policies adopted by the national government, such as the elimination and reduction of export duties, the simplification of procedures and elimination of unnecessary regulations, the opening of more than 600 markets, together with the effort and investments made by producers for the incorporation of technological improvements, allowed products from more than 35 value chains to position Argentina as a world leader in safe and quality products.
