Panama Renews its National Maritime Strategy with IDB Support
The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) is working on the renewal of the National Maritime Strategy (NMS) with technical support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The process includes a historical and legal review, an international comparative analysis, and an evaluation of trends transforming the maritime industry. The new NMS seeks to integrate Panama's main assets—the Canal, ports, ship registry, logistics services, connectivity, and human talent—under a unified development vision.
