CAF Approved USD 50 Million for Enabling Works of San Antonio's Outer Port
The Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) formalized a USD 50 million loan to the San Antonio Port Company (EPSA) to finance the enabling works of the Outer Port. Julián Suárez, CAF's representative, confirmed that the institution is available to continue supporting future stages of the project with up to an additional USD 150 million. The project will triple the cargo mobilized and generate between 4,000 to 5,000 jobs during its construction. CAF will also provide USD 100,000 to the Municipality of San Antonio and USD 1.5 million to EPSA as non-reimbursable technical cooperation.
