Port of Barcelona Records 3.5% Growth in Cargo Movements in H1 2026
The Port of Barcelona closed the first half of 2026 with 35.87 million tons moved, an increase of 3.5% compared to the same period in 2025. Container traffic reached 1.93 million TEUs (+4.3%), while passenger movements totaled 2.44 million (+4.1%). Director General Àlex Garcia highlighted the port's resilience in the face of geopolitical tensions and global commercial uncertainty.
