TCP, the company that manages the Paranaguá Container Terminal, has just launched the latest edition of its Sustainability Report, corresponding to the year 2025. Prepared in accordance with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the document brings together the company's main environmental, social, and governance (ESG) results and marks a new cycle of strategic planning.
The main highlight of this edition is the update of the Materiality Matrix, a process that confirmed the consistency of the sustainability priorities defined by the company in 2022 and their alignment with the current challenges of the port sector. The review of the matrix involved a comparative analysis (benchmarking) with companies in the sector, interviews with strategic leaders from different areas of TCP, and consultations with both internal and external stakeholders.
Based on this process, the company re-evaluated the topics considered priorities for its sustainability strategy. Only three topics ceased to be part of the matrix — Indirect Economic Impacts, Environmental Assessment of Suppliers, and Social Assessment of Suppliers — which reinforces that the guidelines established three years ago remain aligned with the company's long-term vision.
"The update of the Materiality Matrix demonstrated that the priorities defined by TCP continue to reflect both the challenges of our business and the expectations of the publics with whom we interact. This shows that we have built a solid sustainability strategy, capable of guiding our long-term decisions with responsibility, transparency, and a focus on value generation," states Kayo Zaiats, TCP's Superintendent of Environment.
In addition to the update of the ESG strategy, the 2025 Sustainability Report records other important milestones for the company. Among them, the achievement of ISO 50001 certification stands out, making TCP the first Brazilian port terminal certified under the international standard focused on efficient energy management.
The document also presents the evolution of the company's corporate governance, highlighting internal restructuring and the update of senior management. The report includes the first institutional message signed by the CEO, Jacky Song, who emphasizes how TCP consolidates its global competitiveness by combining logistical efficiency, solid governance, and energy transition. The executive points to strategic investments in railway expansion, fleet electrification, environmental certifications, and social projects that generate economic value with a positive local impact.
Furthermore, the publication gathers indicators related to the company's environmental, social, and economic performance, presenting initiatives aimed at energy efficiency, waste management, environmental monitoring, biodiversity preservation, community relations, occupational health and safety, diversity, innovation, and employee development, in addition to the governance and integrity actions that guide the company's operations.
"The Sustainability Report is a tool for transparency and accountability, but also a management instrument. It allows us to track the evolution of our commitments and shows how environmental, social, and governance aspects are part of TCP's strategic decisions and the way we drive the Terminal's growth," adds Zaiats.
The 2025 Sustainability Report is available on TCP's website, under the "Sustainability" tab, and can be consulted by employees, customers, suppliers, investors, the community, and other interested parties.
