Hanseatic Global Terminals Latin America (HGT) announced that Mauricio Ortiz will assume the role of General Manager of Florida International Terminal (FIT), located in Port Everglades, United States.
"From his new position, Ortiz's main challenges will include driving a new phase of growth for FIT," HGT communicated.
Ortiz holds a degree in Commercial Engineering and a Master's in Finance from Adolfo Ibáñez University, and an MBA from the Pan-American Institute for High Business Management (Ipade). "He has over 16 years of experience within the group," the company specified.
"He joined in 2010 as a Trainee Engineer and in 2013 moved to Terminal Marítima Mazatlán (TMAZ), where he served as commercial manager and operations director. Since March 2019, he has been the general manager of that terminal," it added.
The vacancy left by Ortiz at TMAZ will be filled by Cristián Ortega, a Commercial Engineer from Universidad del Desarrollo and an MBA from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
