Rhenus and Cosco Shipping Sign Strategic Alliance at Cuxhaven Terminal

Rhenus Group and Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic alliance at Rhenus Cuxport, Cuxhaven, Germany.

The agreement aims to combine Rhenus's port expertise with the maritime transport experience of the Chinese firm, leveraging its fleet of over 200 specialized vessels to optimize supply chain solutions and strengthen digital integration between operations.

Both companies will provide comprehensive transport services for common clients and develop integrated logistics solutions at the Cuxhaven terminal, covering breakbulk, automobiles, heavy lift, and special cargo, including semi-submersible shipments and comprehensive distribution.

As part of this collaboration, Rhenus will contribute its terminals, warehouses, inbound and outbound rail connections, ferry routes, and transport fleets in Cuxhaven. Thanks to its integrated infrastructure, national and international connections, and its position as an important multipurpose and project logistics hub in Germany, the location offers ideal conditions.
