The recent storm, which affected a large part of the south, center, and 'norte chico' regions of Chile, as well as announcements of new bad weather fronts for this week, are being monitored by HMM. The South Korean shipping company has warned that delays in the logistics chain could occur due to road closures and slow operations at ports.
"Currently, heavy rains are affecting several regions of Chile, causing localized flooding, road closures, and operational disruptions in parts of the country's transport network," the company stated.
"At HMM Chile, we are closely monitoring the situation along with port authorities, terminals, inland logistics partners, and our operational teams to minimize any possible impact on our customers' cargo," the South Korean shipping company added.
"Although port operations continue in most locations, delays in inland transport, container positioning, and cargo deliveries may occur depending on the affected areas and weather conditions," the line complemented.
