PSACC Receives First 400 TEU Vessel from Linhai Shipyard

Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corporation (PSACC) has recently received the Span Asia Go 200, the first of two twin 400 TEU vessels that the shipping company will receive from the Chinese Linhai Shipyard in 2026.

The second vessel of this type, which will be named Span Asia Go 201, is scheduled to join the Cebu City-based shipping company in the fourth quarter of 2026, as reported by Alphaliner.

The Span Asia Go 200 has a deadweight of 5,769 tons at a draft of only 4.9 meters. The vessel measures 107.21 meters in length, 18.5 meters in beam (seven rows) and features a forward superstructure.

"Both new PSACC vessel types will be equipped with two cranes mounted on the port side. With a main engine power of 1,912 kW, these small cargo vessels are designed to operate on short domestic routes within the Philippines," the consultant stated.

"In terms of overall design and layout, the two PSACC vessels appear very similar, though not entirely identical, to a quartet of four 508 TEU crane-less vessels that Linhai Shipyard built for Malaysia's MTT Shipping in 2024 and 2025. On this basis, the PSACC pair is likely to have a slightly larger capacity than the reported 400 TEU," it added.

"Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corporation currently operates a fleet of 17 small container ships and multipurpose cargo vessels in a network covering all of the Philippines. Its vessels range from 360 to 700 TEU, mostly acquired second-hand," the entity concluded.
