With the aim of preventing waste accumulated in streets and public spaces from reaching the sea, personnel from the Ecology Sub-management of the National Port System Administration Manzanillo (ASIPONA) carried out a cleanup day on the morning of this Friday, July 3, at Las Brisas beach.
During the brigade, conducted near the breakwater, cigarette butts, PET containers, plastic bags, disused clothing, broken glass, and various other waste were collected. These items, in addition to polluting the environment, pose a risk to the marine ecosystem and to visitors of the area.
As a result of these actions, dozens of bags of waste were collected and transported for final disposal in accordance with corresponding measures.
ASIPONA works daily to contribute to environmental care and build a cleaner and ecologically responsible municipality, for Manzanillo and for Mexico.
