The state-owned company Petroperú assured this Wednesday that it continues to focus its actions on strengthening the country's energy supply chain. This follows the promulgation of Urgency Decree No. 003-2026.
Through a statement, the company reaffirmed its full support for all financial mechanisms, trusts, and resources generated under this regulatory framework to be structured and administered directly by the Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversión). "This corporate governance model guarantees the country and creditors total traceability, efficiency, and strictly technical use of the funds," it indicated.
Likewise, it pointed out that the funds managed under the guidance of ProInversión have an unavoidable purpose linked to ensuring the purchase of crude oil, sustaining the national logistics chain, and preventing any risk of fuel shortages that could affect the population and productive sectors.
"To ensure the rapid execution of these mechanisms, Petroperú's Senior Management and Board of Directors, as strategic partners, publicly commit to optimizing internal processes and immediately providing all information and operational support that ProInversión may require," the state oil company mentioned.
The firm also indicated that the ongoing reorganization is a transparent and shielded financing strategy that aligns with the objectives of the current promotion and asset reorganization plan, thereby ensuring operational continuity and timely supply nationwide, reinforcing good corporate governance and consolidating the company's financial sustainability.
"For its part, ProInversión exercises its role as the technical entity responsible for leading the process, within a framework of functional independence and respect for the competencies of each institution. Both institutions reaffirm that the process is eminently technical, not political, and is aimed at restoring Petroperú's self-sustainability while protecting Peru's energy security," it concluded.
