Petroperú completed its fourth sulfuric acid export operation to the ports of Mejillones and Barquito, in Chile, strengthening its commercial operations in international markets and expanding the placement of refined and derived products.
In this fourth operation, the state-owned company exported approximately 19 thousand metric tons (MT) of sulfuric acid using the tanker Concon Trader, under strict operational and logistical conditions aimed at guaranteeing the safety, continuity, and efficiency of the product's loading and transport process.
With this new delivery, the accumulated volume of sulfuric acid exported by Petroperú, since 2025, amounts to approximately 75 thousand MT, a result that demonstrates the operational capacity of the Talara Refinery to meet the requirements of international markets and support its processes through quality controls and laboratory certification with international accreditation.
As part of its international commercial activities, Petroperú has been carrying out export operations of fuels and derivatives to different international markets, strengthening its regional presence and generating new business opportunities.
From 2025 and so far in 2026, the company has completed exports of various products to countries such as Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Panama, China, as well as the Caribbean and the United States. During this period, operations for more than one million barrels of fuels and liquid derivatives were recorded.
These operations are part of the new business opportunities that Petroperú is developing in international markets through the placement of refined and derived products with commercial value, contributing to the comprehensive utilization of the operational capacity of the Talara Refinery.
